Pictures from the June 2010 Aloha Music Camp~Keauhou Beach, Hawai`i

Mahalos for the support of the Mohala Hou Foundation & Aloha Camp `ohana. It was so great to be back at the Keauhou Beach Resort and too see so many old friends and make news.

Highlights? There were so many!

  • The setting was beautiful and the weather superb. We even received a blessing in the form of a gentle rain the night of the Ho`ike. The rain did not dampen spirits, and the beautiful garden plants were so grateful.
  • Wednesday's Open Mic was the best ever. Such talent! OK, I know I say this every year; but it's true.
  • We were graced with the presence of Emma Veary, the legendary singer–and Robyn's mom. She sang with Robyn at the Monday night instructors concert, then again with Keola and the Beamer Family show; and yet again at the closing! What a magnificent voice.
  • All of the teachers and haumana worked very hard all week; Friday's ho`ike came all too soon. But what a show..
  • In the end, it is the people who make the Aloha Camp so special. Big Mahalos the stage crew I shanghaied: Jeff, Tom, Isaac & Kona Bob; Open Mic coordinator Pirate Jim, Ho`ike wrangler Tom, and everyone else who helped with a smile, a laugh, or an encouraging word.

Here are some photos for your enjoyment thanks to our fearless camp administrator, Ben Allen, & Annie Dempsey.
